ACTION HORSES RIDE INTO SHOW

The 142nd Driffield Show takes place on Wednesday, 19th July – and although the show will not be increasing in physical size, organisers are confident that its content will offer visitors a fantastic day.

As well as the exceptional livestock and carcase section, visitors can look forward to browsing over 500 trade stands, handicraft and horticulture marquees, fur and feather section and companion dog show.

The rural craft demonstration area, more popular each year, will again contain a wealth of traditional crafts. The show will also play host to the ninth Landscape and Fencing News sponsored National Fencing Competition. It continues to strengthen and creates a huge amount of national and increasingly international acclaim.

As well as the equine expertise associated with Driffield Show, the main ring will also feature entertainment from the Atkinson’s Action Horses.  Atkinson Action Horses have spent the past 20 years training horses and riders for film and TV. With recent credits from Poldark, Victoria, Peaky Blinders, The Living and the Dead and Hippopotamus – it is guaranteed this elite force has at some point invaded everyone’s TV screens.

Driffield Show organisers say the event continues to be fantastic value for money. Advance tickets are available at the discounted rate of £14 for adults, £13 for senior citizens, and £6 for children. To keep prices for families down to an absolute minimum, a family ticket can be bought in advance for £34.

Ample car-parking facilities continue to be free. For those opting to use a greener form of transport following the success of the initiative last year, a free shuttle bus is on between Driffield Town Centre, Driffield train station and the showground and will be operating every 20 minutes. As a further incentive, anyone travelling to Driffield by train on show day also receives £1 discount off admission by showing their ticket at the showground.
